Body positivity has hit the mainstream. Now what?
"But to some, body positivity is just a small step toward eventually embracing body neutrality, where bodies are accepted as-is without a positive or negative focus.'I describe it as a double-edge sword,' says Catherine Walker, a visiting assistant professor at Union College. "I think that the body positive movement is better representing what we actually look like in terms of age, size, race, ethnicity, so it’s an improvement on where we’ve come from. But we’re still glamorizing bodies.' "
